Do you mail with tracking number?

All items are shipped using registered mail with tracking number.
So packages must be signed for when delivered.  I know it is not the most convenient way to ship but that is the only way to ship with tracking and insurance  from Japan.

What Shipping Methods Are Available?

Shipping from Japan can be expensive so you have to consider two things:

Do you want speed or save a little money?

I have 3 ways to ship: SAL, Airmail and EMS.   Sorry. I don’t use Surface mail.

SAL or Economy Airmail

(takes about 2 to 4 weeks)

The recommended method of shipping is Economy Air or SAL (Surface Air Lift), which is handled as surface mail in your home country but uses air transport over water so that your order will reach you in a timely manner. SAL is about $6.80 per 460 grams/ 1 Lbs

SAL is available to most countries. It is no longer available to Germany and Australia

Canada is limited to 2000 grams.

SAL is limited to 4000 grams/8.8 Lbs

Airmail

(Takes 7-10 days)

Airmail is about $11.60 per 460 grams/ 1 Lbs.

Airmail is available worldwide.

Canada is limited to 2000 grams.

Airmail is limited to 4000 grams/8.8 Lbs.

EMS

(Takes 3-4 business days)

EMS is obviously the best option for people in a hurry. EMS is about $22.00 per 460 grams / 1 Lbs. It will be insured and have a tracking number.

Do You collect and VAT or tax?

Import duties are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. I will not give full refunds for items returned by your post office for either VAT refusal or for returned items not signed for in the specified time given by your post office. Any refunds for these returns will be minus re-shipping back to Japan and a re-shelving fee.

Do you combine shipping?

Yes I do.  But all orders have a one time handling fee to cover shipping insurance and tracking number.  But after that, the shipping is based on weight not items bought.

I am looking for ( ) can you find it for me?

Maybe. I go out hunting every week so let me know what you are looking for. Please try to be a detailed as you can or email me a photo.  Some items, ex toys, have different variants.

On eBay you have (           )  but it isn’t on the site.   Why?

This a very popular question.  Thank you looking at my eBay site (eBay *ahem* powerseller ID japaninmotion)  There are a few reasons,   The first one is that I switched over and redesigned my entire website.   Some products had to be cut to make the new site.  But the most important reason is: time.   I run this site myself and with a full time job / family I just don’t have the time to list everything on both sites.   But if you see something that is on eBay but not listed here please let me know.  I can list it on the site or make other arrangements.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

How do I place an Order?

Just add any item(s) to your cart.  After that just choose how you would like them shipped.  Then fill out the order form and pay for the item.   After you have completed this you are now an official member of Japaninmotion!

Can I Cancel Or Change My Order?

Not a problem.  But it must be done before I send the package out.

Do I need an account to place an order?

Nope.  You are registered for a new account once you have finished the checkout.

How Do I Track My Order?

I send all packages via registered mail thru the Japanese post. You can check the tracking on their English site: here

On the page your tracking number should be typed in the

Confirm delivery status box.

Insert 13-digits tracking number.

Just mail me and I can update you

How Can I Return a Product?

I do take returns but buyer must pay the shipping back to Japan.  After inspection of the product I will refund your payment

If your item has been damaged during transit either refuse delivery or you have to make a claim at your end. Without a damage claim form I cannot take returns on damaged items.
